Slidell, Louisiana - Karay Cunningham Klein, passed away on July 21, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband, John M. Klein, her mother, Katherine McGivern Cunningham, her father Murray Hunt Cunningham, Sr., her adoptive mother, Hannah Jacobs Cunningham, her brother Murray "Hunt" Cunningham Jr., her adoptive sister Janet Cunningham, her son-in-law Rob Klein, and Rob's beautiful daughter Katee Klein Smith. She is survived by her sister, Debbie Cunningham Rubiano, brother-in-law Andrés Rubiano, nieces Hannah Rubiano, Catalina Rubiano, sister-in-law Linda Adler Cunningham, Keli Whitlock and her children, Jennifer Hegseth and her children, her adoptive siblings Kay Gillum, Mary Beth Hughes, Fred Cunningham, and adoptive nieces and nephews. Karay was involved in many organizations, DAR, PEO, 1st Methodist Church of Slidell, Keep Slidell Beautiful, Habitat for Humanity, ASPCA, Slidell Widows Club, and the Bayou Liberty Garden Club. Frankie was a very lucky dog, Karay spoiled her with lots of great food, beautiful accommodation, and an abundance of love.
