Mandeville, Louisiana - Marie Elise "Malise" Prieto died peacefully in Beals, Maine, on July 10, 2026, with her beloved husband of 26 years, Harry Joseph "Rick" Delaune Jr., by her side. She is survived by brother, Ernest Prieto (wife Cynthia Prieto) niece Emily Elisabeth Prieto (Dallas, Texas) and nephew Harrison Hansbrough Prieto (Los Angeles, California). She is also survived by sister-in- law, Zan Nichols Prieto and niece Calla Isabel Prieto (Covington, Louisiana). Early in her career, she played an important role in the design and naming of the new St. Tammany Parish Justice Center. Her legacy of public service and dedication to the people of St. Tammany Parish will be remembered for generations.
