Slidell, LA - Charles James Jenkins entered peacefully into eternal rest on July 29, 2026, at the age of 79. Son of the late Gladys M. Dorsey and Sylvester Jenkins. CJ is survived by his daughter Cecily Gully Smith (Richard Smith) and Granddaughters, Victoria Carter, and DonReion McCoy. Also survived by his two sisters Daisy Jackson and Deloris Calhoun and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Interment will follow at The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr, Slidell, LA 70460.
