‌Trewley-Precious has opened up about the painful end of her marriage, admitting she once felt like a “failure” after walking away from the relationship. ‌Her late father was Romani Gypsy, while her mum Tina is non-Gypsy, meaning Trewley has grown up navigating both sides of her identity. She explained that she had been raised to believe a woman should remain beside her husband “through thick and thin”. “I felt a lot of shame when I left him, just because it felt like I had failed,” she said. “To think I was in such a bad place being in that marriage for so long,” she said.
