Covington, Louisiana - Dr. Clifton O. Istre, Jr., age 93, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, August 6, 2026. He is survived by his children, John Charles Istre (Luanne), Barbara Jean Wickert, Jennifer Lynn Porche (Norman), and Jeremy Lee Istre; grandchildren, Lindsey Bell (Caleb), Jason Istre, and Mark Istre (Callie); and great-grandchildren, Isaac Bell, Ben Bell, Ari Bell, Hayes Istre, and Collum Istre. Dr. Istre was appointed Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Tulane University Medical School, where he authored several professional publications.
