Marrero, Louisiana - Abner Joseph Haydel, Jr. passed away peacefully, on August 9, 2026 at the age of 99 years. Beloved husband of the late Rita Thibodeaux Haydel. Son of the late Abner Joseph Haydel, Sr. and Amy Brou Haydel. Abner was a native of Edgard, Louisiana, lived in San Dimas, California for over 50 years, before moving back to the Westbank 10 years ago. A gathering of family and friends will take place at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, Louisiana on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11 AM.
