Metarie, La - Ervin Joseph David, a native of Lakeland, La and a resident of Metarie, La, passed away on August 9, 2026 at the age of 98. Ervin would end up working for Sears Roebuck as a truck driver and doing deliveries, and would later retire from Sears after many years. Ervin is survived by his sons, Brian David and Larry David, married to daughter-in-law, Clara David; granddaughter, Chelsea "TweetTweet" David; and his sister, Elta "Bets" Gauthier; and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones. Preceded in death by his wife, Velma Fontenot David; father, Alcee J. David; mother, Onelia David; stepfather, Ulysse "Blue" David; and his siblings, Mildred D. David, Dalsey J.
