Metairie, LA - Charles Croom, Sr., age 96, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Mr. Croom was born on February 19, 1930, in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana, to the late Willie and Maggie Croom. At age 17, he went to work for Flintkote Tile Company, where he worked for more than 40 years as a Pressman. After leaving Flintkote Tile Company, he worked for Heavy Duty Trucking Company, where he continued until his retirement. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, 11112 Jefferson Hwy., River Ridge, LA 70123.
