The woman was woken by glass breaking and looked out of her window when she heard further bangs and crashes. The defendant was seen holding his hand, as though he was nursing a cut before re-entering the house and closing the door behind him. ‌In response, the defendant said: "I never took anything from there, I walked in and thought 's*** I've got the wrong house'." ‌The court heard he has 16 convictions for offences including burglary, criminal damage and obstructing a constable.
