Abdul Nabizada was sentenced to seven years at the High Court in Edinburgh on Tuesday, August 11. He received the sentence after a jury at the same court found him guilty of the heinous crime last month. Instead of taking her home safely, Nabizada, now 36, snatched her mobile phone and drove to an isolated area in Joppa where he raped her. Officers had to identify the perpetrator despite there being no legitimate booking record connecting the victim to Nabizada, reports the Daily Record.
