Busy stretch of highway used to reach Chiquilá and Holbox to be widenedLázaro Cárdenas, Q.R. — A busy stretch of highway heading toward Chiquilá to access the island of Holbox is scheduled to be widened. On Saturday, Governor Mara Lezama said a two kilometer stretch of highway that connects Kantunilkín with Chiquilá will be made wider. The road that leaves Kantunilkín for Chiquilá will be widened and paved to better serve residents and tourists heading to Holbox. Authorities did not provide a start or finish date for the Lázaro Cárdenas highway project.
