A large site of wild hemp was destroyed in Naryn region as part of Operation Kara Kuurai, the Department of Internal Affairs of the region reported. The plants were discovered in the villages of Marinka and Kindik, which belong to Min-Kush rural municipality of Dzhumgal district. According to police, together with local government officials, approximately 2.5 tons of wild hemp were mown and burned over an area of approximately 2 hectares. The operations were carried out by officers from the Department of Internal Affairs of Dzhumgal district, and representatives of the Min-Kush rural municipality. Police stated that raids to identify and destroy wild hemp will continue.
