Spot Any Category of Character Strengths in OthersThere are many lenses through which to view character strengths: signature strengths, lower character strengths, happiness strengths, achievement strengths, phasic strengths, and so on. What is interesting is the reminder that spotting any of an individual’s character strengths—whether high or low in their character strengths profile—can be beneficial. Character Strengths Are Changeable, But There’s Far More We Don’t KnowA group of Spanish researchers wanted to know how changeable character strengths were and how common it was for the interventions to boost well-being. While strengths overuse is provocative and novel to many people, the underuse of strengths remains a central message in the science of character strengths.
