In 2025, the volume of transactions through virtual asset service providers in Kyrgyzstan reached almost 2.73 trillion soms, or approximately $30 billion. The number of licensed virtual asset exchange operators has increased from 6 to 82 companies, a more than 13-fold increase. According to Binance Research, approximately 30 percent of users now hold more than half of their crypto portfolios in stablecoins. The study notes growing interest in stablecoins pegged not only to the dollar but also to national currencies. The combined trading volume of such assets, including KGST, has exceeded $5 billion since 2025.
