FIRE investigators looking into the causes of a devastating blaze which ripped through Ley Hill Park in Northfield believe it was started deliberately. Two firefighters returned to the park at 8pm to check again for hot spots to ensure the blaze would not reignite. West Midlands Fire Service have issued a plea to people not to start deliberate fires – especially during this hot dry spell. “If you deliberately start a fire, you could face a criminal record and be held responsible for damage you may never have considered.
