Denver Clift, 40, of King George’s Close, Rayleigh, was sentenced last week for a single count of dwelling burglary with theft. Clift pleaded guilty to breaking into a property in Prince Avenue, Westcliff, on April 29. That stolen car was then driven by another woman who, under the influence of drugs, smashed it into another car in a head-on collision. In 2018, he was the subject of another wanted appeal, this time for questioning over a serious assault and a burglary. In 2021, he was charged with burglaries of one home and three Co-Op stores across Thurrock, plus dangerous driving and other offences.
