Ealing enthusiasts discovering the great outdoors

It was this passion for the Great Outdoors that a group of like-minded people brought to the capital in the 1940s (see photo) when they set up Ealing Outdoor Club.
Medical experts have long extolled the physical and mental benefits of taking a stroll in nature, even if it is the local park.
“I’ve always enjoyed cycling and walking and missed it when I moved to London with a group of friends after college.
“The club is as much about mental as physical wellbeing and gives people the opportunity to get out of the house.
“I find that returning to nature is essential for me to continue to deliver the best possible care for my patients.”
