MILWAUKEE (AP) — Jackson Chourio sparked Milwaukee’s fast start at the plate, and Freddy Peralta delivered a steady performance on the mound. Chourio capped Milwaukee’s six-run first inning with a two-run single, and the Brewers trounced the Chicago Cubs 9-3 on Saturday in Game 1 of their NL Division Series. He departed in the second after becoming the first player with three hits in the first two innings of a playoff game. Michael Soroka walked Joey Ortiz to load the bases and allowed a two-run single to Chourio. Caleb Durbin delivered a two-run single before Chourio’s infield hit made it 9-1.
