RBC entered into a contract with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) to host two friendly matches in Kerala.
Total Paid: By late 2025, RBC had paid a total of USD 1.45 crore to the AFA's agent.
This initial $9 million payment was meant to satisfy the requirement for a down payment following the signing of the contract.
The reason given was that the match in Kerala was scheduled on a different continent from another already-confirmed engagement of the Argentina National Team.
