The blaze, which broke out near Limehouse station, is affecting routes between London Fenchurch Street and Grays, Laindon, Pitsea, Leigh-on-Sea, Southend Central, Thorpe Bay and Shoeburyness. Delays of up to 20 minutes are expected while the service recovers, and some trains may still be cancelled or revised. A National Rail spokesman said: "Network Rail staff have attended and completed safety checks. "Services can now run normally through the area but will still be subject to delays while the service is recovered." Passengers affected by the disruption can use their tickets on London Underground services between Tower Hill and Upminster and on Greater Anglia services from London Liverpool Street via any reasonable route.
