DULUTH — After initially saying an investigation into Denfeld High School boys hockey coach Dale Jago had concluded, the Duluth school district announced there could be one more interview.
The Denfeld administration opted not to renew Jago’s contract after a review of complaints by the school.
ADVERTISEMENTAn outpouring of support from the Denfeld hockey community prompted the district to initiate the external investigation.
Prep Denfeld players lobby school board on behalf of hockey coach Players, coaches and community members filled a Duluth School Board listening session in support of former coach Dale Jago after his contract was not renewed by the district.
The allegations reviewed by the external investigator were “identical” to those reviewed by Denfeld administration, the statement said.
