(Image: Google Maps)The proposal, at West Barn on The Street, would see the existing modern barn demolished and a two-storey, four-bedroom house designed to reflect the character of traditional agricultural buildings built in its place. A design and access statement described the application as, "a smaller, self-build dwelling" intended as a "forever home." It stated: "The proposed four-bedroom dwelling is 20 per cent smaller than the permitted five-bedroom dwelling.
