As South African small businesses accelerate AI adoption faster than many developed economies, Huawei South Africa has opened applications for the 2026 Women in Tech Digital Skills Training Programme. Now in its sixth year, held during Women’s Month, this flagship initiative helps women build the digital skills to compete, adapt, and lead in an AI-driven economy. This year’s theme, HERabytes: Small Business. Since its launch in 2021, the Huawei Women in Tech Digital Skills Training programme has been supported by the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies (DCDT). “AI can feel intimidating, especially if you’re running a small business,” says Vanashree Govender, Senior PR Manager, Media & Communications at Huawei South Africa.
