The group of 10 veterans sailed from Oban to Barrow aboard the Klevia as part of an experience supported by Barrow Town Council. The voyage coincided with the Royal Port of Barrow Festival of the Sea, allowing the veterans to take part in the celebrations upon their return. "It was all the better for being so unexpected and out of the blue, from Barrow Town Council.
