BUMS was first set up in 2016, offering a host of gigs and inviting local music lovers to sign up for free memberships. Alongside playing their first international gig, the Barrow band have recently found themselves featured on BBC Introducing. The Barrow local said it was “lovely to see people coming together for a great cause” after raising over £1,350 of his £1,400 target with donations continuing to flood in. The musician believes the cause he is walking for is an important one as access to the creative arts in small towns is “endangered”.
