The Nao Santa María, the flagship associated with Christopher Columbus' historic Atlantic voyage, will dock at Barrow Town Quay from August 27 to 31.
The original Santa Maria was the largest of the three small ships sailed by Columbus in his first expedition across the Atlantic Ocean in 1492.

Barrow Town Council said it "is delighted to welcome the magnificent Nao Santa María to Barrow Town Quay."
A faithful replica of the original Santa Maria, the public can descend below deck, see inside a representation of the captain's quarters, and climb two decks high to view the ship from above.
