BROOKINGS — Special teams were a mixed bag for South Dakota State last year under the new coaching staff. There are kids who want to play on special teams. The special teams coach says that's certainly true for him and his unit. Dan (Jackson) is really holding us all to a high standard, and he's done an awesome job in my (special teams) meetings of speaking up. When the head coach does that with the special teams guys it's super helpful."
