Investigation launched after sewage concerns in Warrington stream

Residents have raised concerns over the issue, which relates to water in the vicinity of Dakota Park, Mary Ann Meadows, and Burtonwood Road.
The council has told the Warrington Guardian how, as the pollution relates to water, the lead regulatory authority is the Environment Agency.
They said: "We are aware of concerns relating to a watercourse in the vicinity of Dakota Park, Mary Ann Meadows, and Burtonwood Road and are monitoring the situation.
"As it relates to pollution of a watercourse, the lead regulatory authority is the Environment Agency.
"We continue to work with Warrington Borough Council to understand the cause and assess any environmental impacts."
