Emergency crews were called to the field fire in Wymondham Road in Wramplingham at around 2.51pm on Monday. Crews from Wymondham and Attleborough attended the scene, along with a water carrier from Hethersett. The fire service is urging people not to light bonfires ahead of the heatwave. Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service has said their use has led to several wildfires across the county. The county is suffering from “flash drought” as a result of very low rainfall and high temperatures, the Environment Agency has said.
