The Bakery Annexe could become the new venue for Thornbury & District Museum, which has been serving the community for four decades. Thornbury Town Council said it is working with the volunteer-run museum to explore the possibility of creating a new location for the attraction. Established in 1986, Thornbury & District Museum is currently located in a former cottage at 4 Chapel Street next to The Armstrong. A spokesperson for Thornbury & District Museum said: “Founded 40 years ago, Thornbury Museum faced an uncertain future earlier this year. Thornbury recently saw a Heritage Craft Fair featuring the Thornbury Quilt, and the historic Thornbury Cemetery Chapel was officially reopened by Thornbury Town Council in June.
