Lossiemouth’s annual folk festival returned to the town’s Steamboat on Saturday (August 8) for a full day of live music. The festival itself is an extension of the Lossie Folk Club, which runs every Tuesday in the same venue. Ms Simpson added: “It’s how folk music should be where anyone who comes along can join in. The folk festival and club also provide a space for young musicians or first-time performers to share their talent in public. “It has the power to create such a wonderful community, even if you’re young or new or less familiar with folk music.”
