Clacton Pier then issued a statement condemning the group's actions.
It stated: "Kai Stephens and members of the British Democrats party entered Clacton Pier today without permission, carrying pyrotechnics and a large banner which they attempted to hang from the pier.
"Clacton Pier strongly condemns these actions.
"Clacton Pier is a place for everyone, and we firmly believe that visitors should be able to enjoy their day without disruption, intimidation or interference.
He concluded it could not and highlighted how Clacton Pier hosted its own fireworks displays on the pier.
