Sudan is accelerating public financial reforms and efforts to revive key productive sectors as the country seeks to rebuild State institutions and stabilize its economy amid the ongoing war.
Abdeldaim said the government was also working with international financial institutions on debt relief and economic recovery.
He noted that Sudan had agreed on a roadmap with the International Monetary Fund towards debt relief under the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries initiative.
The financial reform programme also focuses on reviving major economic sectors and state-owned transport assets, including the livestock industry, Sudan Airways and national sea transport services.
The initiatives form part of wider efforts to restore Sudan’s productive capacity and rebuild its economy following the severe disruption caused by the conflict.
