On3 polled its college football experts for a preseason Top 25, but much like in the previously released Coaches Poll, South Carolina did not make the cut. The Gamecocks did, however, receive votes in the On3 poll, with the order placing them 37th in the country. On3’s college football experts Wilson Alexander, David Cone, Blain Crain, Jake Crain, Zak Herbstreit, Chris Low, Brett McMurphy, Pete Nakos, JD PicKell, Andy Staples and Ari Wasserman each provided their Top 25 ballots. 1 votes and 37 schools overall received votes. South Carolina opened preseason camp last Friday and held its first padded practice on Tuesday.
