The man accused of kidnapping his pregnant ex-girlfriend from the Canton Nissan plant and later killing her will stand trial. Joshua Andrews appeared in court in Madison County on Monday and was informed that his trial will begin on Feb. 1 of next year. The trial will be held in an unspecified Mississippi Gulf Coast County, with Judge Dewey Arthur approving Andrews’ legal counsel’s request for a venue change. The defendant’s legal team argued that Andrews could not get a fair trial in Madison County. The vehicle Andrews was driving had previously been reported stolen by his sister.
