Jeremy Hulland of Meadow Road, East Worthing, was given a community order for sending a string of foul-mouthed emails to his MP Tom Rutland. In court, Hulland - who represented himself at the trial - said: "When I do the emailing, I’m drunk. Jeremy Hulland (Image: NQ)Deputy District Judge Turner sentenced him to a community order that includes 200 hours of unpaid work and 20 days of rehabilitation. He was also made the subject of a restraining order which prohibits him from contacting Mr Rutland either directly or indirectly or attending his address. Following the guilty verdict in June, Mr Rutland welcomed his conviction.
