Minnesota's primary election Tuesday, Aug. 11, will set the stage for the state's general election on Nov. 3.
ADVERTISEMENTSecretary of State Steve Simon said election security is once again a priority for the state and federal government.
Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says the state has already seen record turnout for early voting in a non-election year, as key races are stacked tall ahead of Tuesday's primary.
"As of this morning, just before this event, we can now say that 206,196 Minnesotans have already voted in the August 11th primary," Simon said.
Simon says the Department of Justice will be bringing election monitors to select counties in Minnesota.
