In June 2026 PURE bought the Alberta casino operator GameHose, adding three more casinos and two hotels to its portfolio, making them the largest casino operator in the province with seven gaming venues. Entering iGaming was expectedNow, PURE Casino goes from physical to online casino gambling, which is a new territory for Alberta and for First Nations in the province. Another First Nations casino in the Edmonton area – River Cree Resort & Casino, also registered for online platform, and the minister for Alberta iGaming, Dale Nally, said in May that the province encourages land-based operators and Alberta First Nations to make that step towards the iGaming market.
