MOORHEAD — The state has suspended the license of a child care center in Moorhead after Clay County received reports alleging a child was “unattended in the community.” The official order said the immediate suspension comes from the determination that children served by the program were at an "immediate risk of harm." Antonson is now prohibited from providing family child care services or operating as a legally unlicensed child care provider and will be required to place the suspension order in a place clearly noticeable to the people receiving services, according to documents. While Clay County received the report, Becker County will be doing the investigation due to a reported conflict of interest. Antonson did receive two minor violations in 2024 regarding child care qualifications and training, but that was resolved with corrected documents submitted soon after, according to documents.
