Outgoing president of Pangbourne Rotary Club, Brian Davies, made the announcement during the President's Night meeting at Goring and Streatley Golf Club on June 26. Mr Davies, who is from Upper Basildon, said the total amount raised was £55,421.99. He then presented several awards to club members, including Clive Williams and Henry Killender. Mr Davies stepped down to the tune of 'We Are Family' by Sister Sledge, passing the presidential chain of office to Marius Hopley, from Southcote. Mr Hopley, who has over 25 years of service in Rotary, expressed gratitude to Mr Davies for his leadership and presented a bouquet to Angela Davies.
