The featured artists for the entire show will be Chet Atkins and his many musical friends. One set will focus on the music of teenaged singer Sunshine Ruby, an early 1950s phenom. And I’m featuring Portland musician Mary Cameron and her musical friends, who’ve been entertaining Portlanders at various spots around town for years, with bands like Succotash and The Rocky Butte Wranglers, and now The SwingShifters. Of course the program is chock full of entertaining country musicians, including Joni Harms, Frankie Lane, Ray Bierl, Brandy Clark, Tex Ritter, Jean Shepard, Marty Stuart, Loretta Lynn, James Taylor (with a cowboy song), Kris Kristofferson and his counterparts Homer & Jethro.
