Officers were called to Shelley Road in Worthing at the junction with Salisbury Road at about 1.10 am on Tuesday, August 11. Detective Inspector Lee Simmonds said: "We are investigating a report of a stabbing in Worthing in the early hours of this morning. "The suspect was described as a slim black man wearing a brown T-shirt and jeans. "We are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward. "Information can be reported to Sussex Police online, quoting serial 76 of 11/08."
