Emily Prosser, a professional singer and singing teacher, is taking on the challenge in honour of her father, Peter Prosser, a hairdresser who worked in Hereford for more than 50 years before retiring. She will climb to Snowdon’s summit during an overnight trek on August 29 and 30 to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK. Mr Prosser was diagnosed in summer 2025 with Parkinson’s disease, a progressive neurological condition that changes the brain and worsens over time. Although there is currently no cure, Parkinson’s UK says research is moving closer to finding ways to stop, slow, reverse, or prevent the disease. The charity also delivers vital support and services for those affected to help them live better lives.
