However, according to Levante EMV, Valencia have now revived their interest, wanting to sign Van Oevelen on loan for the season and have made contact with his representatives. When Van Oevelen was signed in late July, the Blues were looking to send him out on loan for the season to a Championship club. Town may now be willing to allow Van Oevelen, who has signed a five-year deal, out for the season in order to play regularly and gain further senior experience. Championship sides Bolton Wanderers, Millwall, Wrexham and Middlesbrough were all previously linked with loan interest in Van Oevelen, although since then Boro have brought in Manchester United’s Radek Vitek and the Welshmen have since signed Anthony Patterson from Sunderland.
