JBS has appointed Wesley Batista Filho as its new global chief executive, effective January 2027, as part of a planned leadership transition. L-R: Wesley Batista Filho and Gilberto Tomazoni. Batista Filho will succeed Gilberto Tomazoni, who is stepping down after eight years as global CEO and 14 years with the food group. Batista Filho joined JBS 15 years ago and has held several senior positions across the company’s international operations. During Tomazoni’s tenure as CEO, JBS expanded into new protein categories, grew its branded and value-added portfolio and invested in biotechnology.
