WORTHINGTON — The Worthington City Council on Monday approved a proposal from Worthington ISD 518 regarding ownership and lease of a new single-sheet ice arena on school district property.
ADVERTISEMENTThe contribution breakdown for the arena includes $10 million from the city of Worthington, $5 million from ISD 518 and $1 million from the Worthington Youth Hockey Association.

Robinson said once the new arena is operational and the existing arena also has ice, the demand for ice time should be met.
However, if the existing arena becomes inoperative, community time would be shared around everything else.
