Dog owners across Herefordshire are being advised to look out for unusual behaviour on August 12 during a solar eclipse that will darken skies across the UK and Ireland. Darren Beale, CEO of fresh dog food brand Years, said: "Dogs will not understand that an eclipse is taking place. "More sensitive dogs could appear unsettled, follow their owner around, pace or become unusually alert." Owners are also advised not to put eclipse glasses on their pets or direct their attention toward the sky. If dogs appear particularly anxious, owners should consult their vet for further advice.
