Dr Farrukh Khan is appearing before a Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) hearing in connection with allegations arising from an incident in St Helens on March 11, 2024.
It is alleged that he conducted a prostate examination that was clinically inappropriate, performed without consent, and sexually motivated.
The patient, referred to as Patient A, is said to have requested that Dr Khan stop the examination, but he allegedly continued regardless.
The tribunal, which started on Monday, August 10, is ongoing, and will examine whether Dr Khan’s fitness to practise is impaired due to misconduct.
The allegations have not yet been determined by the tribunal.
