"I'm particularly pleased that we've seen a significant reduction in the number of families living in B&B accommodation, alongside a reduction in the overall use of temporary accommodation." The strategy outlines Wirral’s long-term approach to reducing rough sleeping and improving access to housing and support services. According to the data, since March this year, the number of households in B&Bs has fallen from 154 to 129, and the number of families in B&Bs has dropped from 37 to 20. The total number of households in all forms of temporary accommodation has also decreased, falling from 213 to 188. Cllr Basnett reflected: "These are encouraging early signs that the approach set out in our Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy is beginning to make a difference.
