St Illtyd’s Primary School in Llanhilleth, received a glowing inspection report from Estyn, the education and training inspectorate for Wales. Kelly Forrest, headteacher at St Illtyd’s, said: "This report is a wonderful recognition of what can be achieved when a school community works together. Estyn described the school as "friendly, inviting, and inclusive," and praised the exceptional relationships between staff and pupils. Pupils from low-income households and those with additional learning needs (ALN) were found to make strong progress. Ms Forrest said: "Estyn recognised the warm, inclusive environment that exists within our school and the significant progress that has been made for our learners.
